Construction 101. (4 Hours)

Most licensed adjusters are required to complete 12 to 24 hours of continuing education (CE) before renewing their license. Save time and money with AdjusterPro's CE courses. Our courses are 100% online and can be completed at your own pace, wherever and whenever it's convenient for you. Every course has been approved by the state for CE credits and we'll even submit the documentation to your home state for you.

Understanding the basics of the construction process and terminology will help you begin your adjusting career with confidence in your knowledge and accuracy in your estimates.

An insurance claims adjuster must be able to accurately review damages and create an estimate to make the policyholder “whole” again.  But how do you do that if you've never been in construction, built a house, or worked in the industry? Our Construction 101 course will teach you the most common terms and materials used in construction so you can hit the ground running on your claims. We'll cover basic and commonly found materials, taking you from foundations to framing, from siding to roofing, and from interior flooring to finishes throughout the home, including:

  • Different building materials and how to determine quantities, types, and grades
  • The Construction Process: trades, debris, permits, and building codes
  • Roofing Overview: assessment, 6-point inspection, and safety & ascension information

Created by a veteran insurance adjuster, this course will help you create a strong foundation for your claims adjusting career.

    Important Notes:

    • You may not receive credit for any continuing education hours until after you have received your license.
